Dr. Cherup has been working with me for months to replace a breast implant that was exposed from a procedure I had a few years ago and had to be removed. She has done numerous surgeries on me to get the results I wanted. Unfortunately for me, I had trouble healing due to a history of breast cancer and radiation treatments. She recently started me on hyperbaric oxygen treatments which will aid in healing of my irradiated skin. I highly recommend this for anyone who has trouble healing. The treatments are 2 hours 5 days a week in a hyperbaric chamber. They make you comfortable and other than pressure in my ears, the procedure is painless and so far, successful. I would like to thank Dr. Cherup and her staff for the excellent care before, during and after my surgery . They constantly check on me and I’ve contacted them at least 2-3 times week with problems with my skin not wanting to heal. Dr. Cherup did my post mastectomy implants 16 years ago. I came back because, honestly, I did not want anyone else touching me. She has always been honest and caring and her work is the best. As a 2 time breast cancer survivor, I highly recommend Dr. Cherup as the best plastic surgeon around.
I am a breast cancer survivor and Dr. Cherup completed reconstruction surgery on me recently. I chose Dr. Cherup after having consults with numerous other plastic surgeons who were recommended through Magee/UPMC. I left all of their consults discouraged because they did not listen to my needs and what I wanted. I met with Dr. Cherup who listened to my needs and provided me with her expertise in what would make me look my best. This was a very difficult decision for me and Dr. Cherup helped make my decision such an easy one. I am about a month and a half post-op and couldn’t be happier with my results. She is truly an artist and I am so happy that I chose and trusted her. I have wanted to do this for several years, but never trusted any other surgeon. I went to Dr.Cherup for a surgical procedure. I love that all the staff is knowledgeable and very nice. Dr.Cherup was wonderful, explained everything. I love that she is straight forward, personal attention to her patient. I highly recommend her for anything that you may want to get done. I had the best experience with her and the surgical center as well.
